Mr. and Mrs. Santiago

I am excited to be returning to my blog as a newly married woman! I don't have the official pictures back yet (I will update when I do) and have only seen some on facebook from other people. I'll give you a few of those in the mean time:

We had an amazing weekend! We are so grateful to family and friends who added their special touches to this day to make it so great. Despite some rain, we had a beautiful time filled with love, laughter, joy, and making memories with many of the people that we love most in this world.

About 2:00 the next morning I woke up to a horrible sickness that struck both Jonerik and I. We put to test the "in sickness and health" part of our vows rather quickly. We were up sick all night and decided to go home to our apartment in Philly for the first week of our honeymoon (instead of going to FL). After a few days we ventured to eat our 'first meal' together as a married couple, which consisted of chicken noodle soup, a ham sandwich, crackers, and ginger ale:

No...we didn't eat that whole container in one sitting...we were taking it easy!

We were blessed with health later in the week and were able to go on our cruise down to the Carribean for the following week. We had a great time and have both determined that cruising is our current favorite means of vacationing. Here is a taste of what we got to do and see:

We are now back in Kensington, adjusting to a new way of life. We are both back to work and working on getting settled. I will work on updated you more on what we are doing here in Philly and in Chester County and I will also give you a virtual tour of our apartment hopefully sometime this week!

God has been very gracious to me and Jonerik and we thank Him every day for his provision, protection, and presence in our lives. Please keep in touch and check back in to see how He is moving here in Philly.
